There is no word on pricing yet, the phone is expected to be launched by Spice sooner rather than later. This post will be focusing on the specifications of the device, and we will be reviewing the device based on those specifications.
Camera And Internal Storage
The Spice Coolpad Mi-510 packs an 8MP rear camera, which is quite a bump from the 5MP seen on the Coolpad Mi-515. The front camera again is bumped up to 3.2 megapixels from VGA as on the Mi-515. This means that the Mi-510 will be a far superior device when it comes to imaging and video, thanks to the better hardware. The phone packs the same 4GB of on-board storage as on most other budget devices, and yes, can be updated to 32GB via a microSD card like the others.
Processor And Battery
The Spice Coolpad Mi-510 packs the same 1.2GHz quad core processor as seen on most other budget quad core devices and on the Coolpad Mi-515. The phone will be a tad bit better in terms on performance thanks to the lower screen resolution, which will put lesser load on the GPU/CPU. The phone will come with 512MB RAM, which when stacked up against the Mi-515, is much lesser, the Mi-515 packs 1GB of RAM. This means that the Mi-510 will not be as good as the Mi-510 when we’re concerned about the multitasking. The phone packs a decent 2100mAh battery, which will ensure a day of moderate to heavy usage.
Display Size And Type
The Spice Coolpad Mi-510 sports a 5 inch display at a resolution of 800×480. The resolution won’t find the fancy of gamers and multimedia users, as there will be pixelation up to a certain extent. At this point of time, it is not known if the display will be of IPS type or not, since we await the official word from Karbonn. The display should suit people who use the phone for purposes like web browsing and IM like gtalk, WhatsApp, etc.
Comparison
The phone can be compared to a host of quad core devices, one being the Coolpad Mi-515 from Spice itself. Other competitors include Canvas 2 Plus from Micromax, Celkon A118 HD, etc.

Conclusion
Nothing much can be said in conclusion at the moment, since a word from Karbonn for the pricing is yet to come. We would hope to see the device is launched for around 9500 INR, which would make a device worth the money. Till then, we wait for an official word from Karbonn. This post will be updated as and when there is a word from Karbonn, so keep watching this space for updates.
