Design and Build
X3 has a 4.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 312 ppi. The screen looks a decent unit to look at and the smartphone will be good enough for single handed operations.
The LG X3 is comfortable to hold in hand but the build quality is just average and we expected to same to be slightly better. But LG didn’t give much attention to this department and the smartphone features an average build quality which might not be the best of things to have if you tend to drop your phone a bit frequently.
Camera and Internal Storage
The LG X3 comes shod with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with a LED flash. It has a video recording capability of 1080p @ 30 fps. The same gets coupled with a 1.3MP front camera which is made available for video calling and self-portrait shots. The quality of imaging is just average and is nothing great.
The internal storage of the smartphone stands at 16GB which is one of the few good things about the smartphone. The expandable storage of the device stands at 32GB courtesy of the microSD card slot.
Battery, Operating System and Chipset
Giving the X3 juice to run is a 2,000 mAh battery unit that will last about a day on moderate usage but will drop down if you use too much of 4G which is the strongest point of the device. The X3 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and we simply fail to understand the reasoning behind this. At a time when Chinese and Indian manufacturers have started launching devices with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and are considering Android 4.4 KitKat, the LG offering will find it hard to ride on the back of Android 4.0. Giving the smartphone the processing power is a 1GHz quad core processor which joins hands with a 1GB RAM for multitasking. Expect it to run well on the device without much lags and in our brief usage of the device, we didn’t notice much of a lag.

Conclusion
The smartphone will bring 4G at an affordable price point but 4G in itself will be a bit pricey. To top it off, it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is simply unacceptable. LG needs to consider updating the smartphone to at least Android 4.2 Jelly Bean if it plans on getting it out in numbers.
