The Slate 6 sports a 6 inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 HD resolution and with Slate 7 you will get a 1 inch increase in diagonal length (7 inch) without any increase in display resolution. Both of these tabs will be powered by a quad core processors and run on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system. HP had tried to enter Smartphone race earlier too, with acquisition of Palm for a whooping 1.2 billion US dollars, but failed in its attempt. With Slate 6 and Slate 7 HP is directly heading to India without trying its luck in US or Europe. This is a wise initiative considering HP brand credibility in India, Booming smartphone Market and India’s love for large display calling devices.
